This morning, while I was still having a tea, a good friend of mine sent me a screenshot of a comment written by Edward Debono. At first, I thought it was Edward Debono of the lateral thinking. However, it dawned on me that he’s been dead almost three years. Well, it would have been lovely to receive a comment from Edward Debono of the lateral thinking, if he were still alive. However, the screenshot related to a comment passed by the other Edward Debono; the one hailing from the school of obtuse thinking.
In a comment he left underneath Simon Mercieca’s blog post, he uttered, that I hide or perhaps obscure the truth. Edward, I do not. The subject is technical and quite complex for you to comprehend. And this is not superiority complex. It is just the experience I acquired in the topic while I was posted in Brussels. Certainly, I do not interfere and comment about subjects that I am not conversant with.
Frankly, I never mentioned Edward Debono in my speeches or writings. The only time I came across this person was when he featured on NET TV. Apparently, he’s become a fixture on NET TV. Perhaps that is why they featured in the BA survey. He was explaining something which might have been irrelevant to me. I don’t recall what it was, as I only watched TV for about 3 minutes and switched it off.
Edward, if you really think that I will be bullied simply because you spend your time on NET TV giving your stupid opinions, you are completely wrong.
My invitation to debate the topic of defence financing is still open.
